Tuscan Fine English Bone China Made in England Listing hand painted Pattern number 9296 H. The Tuscan tableware company was founded in 1878 in Staffordshire , England . Their branded bone china was known as “Tuscan” until 1967 after which they were acquired by Wedgwood who added the “Royal” prefix for marketing purposes. Since this piece is not a “Royal Tuscan” it is a tea set made before 1967. There is burnishing at the bottom of the cup handle and gold tone tracing on the handle. The saucer has a wide footband in gold tone that adds elegance to this beautiful set. The design is a beautiful gold floral pattern with a lovely intricate gold background. It's absolutely GORGEOUS! The cup, saucer and pastry saucer are in excellent condition for their age. The cup size is approximately 2 1/2" in diameter. The saucer is approximately 4 1/2" in diameter.
