  • Condition: This is a NOS 1-11 1/2 NPT 5 Flute HS Cut 2180 Tap made by the Vermont Tap and Die company in Lyndonville, Vt. If I'm reading the box correctly this was made in 03/05/09. It is "new in the box". Box shows wear from being moved from toolbox to toolbox. I was the 1st person to take the tap out to look at it since it was packaged probably!! LOL

    Description

    This was an estate find from a farm here in East Texas. Box has had a rough life, but the tap has never been out of the box.
    It took a little prodding to get the box to open, then more work to get the tube holding the tap out of the box. Then it was a chore to get the tap out of the tube!! Man...I worked up a sweat getting to it!!
    The tap "is as new" as can be. It's never been out of the box. The little lady at the estate said her husband had been dead for 10 years. A lot of stuff was  still in boxes.
    The brown looking fuzy stuff you see in the close-ups is cardboard dust particles!! There is NO RUST on this tap.
    You can tell by looking at the photos it is new as in never used!!
    Take a good look at the pics. Thisis really neat stuff.
